This event throughout the month of October not only encourages fitness but also benefits Forsyth County Schools by providing funds for laptops, hot spots and internet for students in need.
In 2013, The Morrow Community Foundation started a benefit to support the Forsyth County Schools’ BYOT (Bring Your Own Technology) initiative, which seeks to improve the use of and access to the types of technology that students will be using as students and as adults.
In it’s first seven years, the Forsyth BYOT Benefit has donated over $350,000 to the Forsyth County Schools, placing internet and devices in the homes of all students who need them and improving the Media Centers in most schools.
